Meat Shares

We are still finaliziing our meat share options.  Like last year, we will offer shares and special order options from This Old Farm.  We are keeping the pricing the same for now.  Please be aware that we may need to make an increase after winter expences are calculated by This Old Farm. We do not get this pricing until Spring. Increases would be limited to 10%.

 

We are also talking with other meat producers.  As suggested by a few members, we are investigating a poultry only option.  Stay tuned for more details.

This Old Farm

This Old Farm offers high quality sustainably produced meats.  This Old Farm manages a  state inspected facility to process and distribute products from 20+ area farms.   Each farm has its own practices, but the goal is all the same – healthful, delicious meats without growth hormones, antibiotics, or other harmful feed additives.   • $25/week will provide 2 meat options for a family of 4.
  • $40/week will provide all meats needed for a family of 4.

Week One

Ground Beef (1 lb), Chuck Roast (3 lbs), Beef Liver, Whole Chicken, Lamb Strips, Chicken Stock Pieces

Week Two

Ground Beef (2 lbs), Chicken Thighs, Chicken Livers, Pork Shoulder Roast, Soup Bones for broth, Chicken broth pieces

Week Three

Rump Roast (3 lbs), Chicken Breast (1-2lbs), Ground Beef (1 lb), **Holiday Week-Pasture Raised Turkey

Week Four

Bacon, nitrate free (1 lb), Ground Beef (1 lb), Beef Stew Meat (1-2 lbs), Whole Chicken, Ground Turkey (1 lb), Soup Bones for stock

Special order meats from This Old Farm's website.  Orders placed by Thursday will be delivered in your CSA box the following week.  Order regularly or stock up occasionally.  Either way your mouth will water.
